Our Restaurants
Siemsens Gaard is home to the main restaurant, where Bornholm’s seasonal produce meets classic open-faced sandwiches for lunch, while the evenings unfold into atmospheric dinners shaped by depth, technique, and calm elegance.
Restaurant Hjørnet offers a more intimate bistro setting in the heart of Svaneke — relaxed, vibrant, and rooted in the same respect for craftsmanship and local producers.
Together the two restaurants create a shared culinary presence on Bornholm, welcoming both locals and visitors alike.
Breakfast at the Hotel
Breakfast at Siemsens Gaard is rooted in Bornholm’s produce and the rhythm of the seasons.
We bake our own bread and pastries, served alongside local cheeses, charcuterie, and house-made elements. Freshly brewed coffee, fresh juices, and simple, carefully prepared dishes for a calm and generous start to the day.
It is a breakfast defined by quality and presence, enjoyed within the surroundings of the house.
The Terrace – Life by the Harbor
Facing the harbor, where the light of the Baltic Sea streams in, our terrace provides the setting for the best moments of your holiday.
Here, you can feel the pulse of the town and the harbor while relaxing in the large outdoor area or enjoying a cold drink from the outdoor bar.
The terrace is surrounded by the scent of our rose and kitchen gardens, where we daily harvest fresh herbs and edible flowers that our chefs use to give the food flavor and character.
The Garden – A place for Reflection
If you seek tranquility, the large private garden opens up behind the yellow buildings like a hidden sanctuary.
As a hotel guest, you can retreat completely and find rest under the deep shade of the large copper beech or lounge in the hammocks with a good book.
The garden is created for slow moments, whether you wish to gather for a game of petanque in the green surroundings or pick up a good bottle of wine from the restaurant to enjoy under the open sky as the sun sets over Svaneke.
Harbour Bathing & Sauna
Just a few minutes from Siemsens Gaard, the harbour in Svaneke invites you into the sea — in every season.
During summer, guests swim in the locals’ sheltered cove or head to the granite cliffs behind the smokehouse to jump straight into the Baltic. It is open, unfiltered, and very much part of life here.
From September through May, you have the opportunity to visit Svaneke Badeklub and use the sauna located directly on the harbour front. The warmth of the sauna followed by a cold plunge from the pier offers a quiet, invigorating contrast.
